Beth is a qualified youth worker with seven years community work experience who loves everything about food! As a community gardener she delights in the growing stage of ‘plot to plate’.

Beth has worked with various youth groups and communities across Bristol, BANES, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire on a range of projects. She has seen first hand the affects that unhealthy food has on our young people and communities. Together with the power that food knowledge has, to enable people to make informed choices to take control of their own physical and mental health and the health of the planet.

Working with farmers in Uganda with Voluntary Services Overseas gave Beth an understanding of some of the difficulties facing growers in East Africa. Since being back in the UK she has completed a Sustainable Land Use Course, RHS certificate in horticulture, visited various farms and built on her knowledge of farming and the food industry in this country, only increasing her motivation to support communities to access local healthy food.
