Food for Mood

Our moods and emotions are seriously effected by the food we eat, and poor diets are associated with a number of mental health problems such as depression and anxiety, as well as reducing our alertness and ability to absorb information. Bristol Food Hub's Food for Mood course and workshops teach participants how to improve their mood and mental health by making simple changes to the food they eat, while also saving money and eating more sustainably.

Our Food for Mood course takes a practical approach, covering issues such as where to buy food and how to fit cooking into busy lifestyles, as well as teaching practical cooking skills for a range of meals. Our aim is to equip those who take part with the skills, understanding and motivation to cook healthily in their future, while providing a space in which people can share experiences and have fun together – another thing fundamental for our mental health.

Food for Mood ideally runs as a 7 week course but can be made longer or shorter to fit your individual requirements. One off workshops in each of the areas we cover can also be booked – please contact us for more information.
