Nature's Kitchen

natures kitchen

Many of the convenience foods on sale today are high in salt, sugar and fat, and are reeking havoc on our nation's health, both physical and mental. Our Nature's Kitchen workshops teach people how to make simple, healthy, affordable alternatives to these foods, allowing them to eat well and feel great...and they're yummy too!

We offer sessions in making toasted seeds, low fat cakes, funky fruit kebabs and – everyone's favourite – sugar-free truffles. We are also happy to come up with new ideas or recipes to fit the needs of particular events or in light of specific dietary needs.

Our hands-on approach is always popular, with everyone getting involved in the making, sharing and tasting of the food, and children often leave our sessions grinning ear to ear with faces coated in whatever they have just made! We also offer those who take part the opportunity to take home the recipes so that they can teach them to their families and friends.

With a focus on health and fun, and always using local, seasonal ingredients where possible, these workshops empower people with the skills and confidence to take control of what they eat, allowing them to become healthier, happier individuals on a more sustainable planet.

"Bristol Food Hub's sugar-free sweet workshops was the perfect complement to our Kid's Taste Tent, and Rachel and Emily were amazing with the kids! Thank you Bristol Food Hub!" - Hira, Organic Food Festival
